September,1976...

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, home to Marauders and budding Death Eaters alike, has entered its Fall Term. Never is there a dull year in the magical castle, and this one is proving to be perhaps more lively than usual. Practical jokes are daily events, though they have become edged with a disturbing tinge of violence more often then not, particularly between Gryffindors and Slytherins.

It has been six years since Tom Riddle became Lord Voldemort. The Death Eaters are a fearsome coalition that have rapidly gained strength since Voldemort's rise to power. Strange disappearances have become commonplace within the wizarding and muggle world alike, and the Ministry of Magic has become increasingly more helpless to do anything about it.

The storms of war loom on the horizon, leaving Hogwarts as perhaps one of the only places where the Dark Lord's effects are minimal. Still, enemies are being made, allegiances forged, and a mysterious new world thick with love and hatred has begun to unfold around the young men and women of Hogwarts.
